MARK TUSCANO is a Filipino-Canadian filmmaker who, depending on the day, is either a producer, writer, director, crashing out in the edit room or all of the above. His passion lies in that special place great stories take you — the bliss of being lost in someone else's beautifully absurd world.
As a producer, he has herded a multitude of creative teams at all professional levels to deliver visually compelling and emotionally resonant stories. By day (and sometimes at night), he serves as Festival Coordinator for the Canadian Short Screenplay Competition and Executive Producer's Assistant at Fun Republic Pictures. In these roles, he contributes to the production of several high-profile film and TV projects while also managing key creative initiatives.
A proud graduate (with honours!) of Centennial College's Broadcasting Film & TV Program, Tuscano has a knack for production management and creative collaboration. His growing body of work is testament to his locked-in mentality of fostering innovative storytelling — or at the very least, inviting you along for the ride.
